Case: 'caseid' No documents found or invalid case number after updating Oracle DB version to 12c

In DigEplan versions older than v3.5.88, updating Oracle DB to version 12c may cause problems with trying to load documents in DigEplan.


This error will typically appear as so: 'Case: 'caseid123' No documents found or invalid case number' see Dutch example below:

 

Cause

This issue is caused by outdated drivers in DigEplan which do not support version 12c and above of Oracle DB. As a result, DigEplan is not able to authenticate with the DB.

 

Solution

Upgrade DigEplan to version v3.5.88 or above. The latest version of DigEplan can be found here. Instructions on how to run the new installation files can be found here
